Team Gulfport Dragway Earns Third-Place Finish at Southern Bracket Finals.

Team Gulfport Dragway traveled to Montgomery International Dragway this weekend with its sights set on the Southern Bracket Finals Team Championship, competing against a strong field of 11 teams representing nine tracks.

The championship battle came down to the wire, with Gulfport, Brainerd 1, and London separated by just one point heading into the final stretch. When the smoke cleared, London Dragway captured the championship with 65 points, finishing one point ahead of Brainerd 1. Gulfport Dragway secured third place with 63 points—just two points shy of the championship.

John Coleman — Advanced deep into Thursday’s and Friday’s Gamblers Races, as well as the Team Finals main event.

Todd Nations — Earned a quarterfinal finish in the Team Finals main event.

Thomas Holley — Earned a quarterfinal finish in the Team Finals main event and runner-up honors in the Track Champions Race.

Peter Pollet — Claimed runner-up honors in the Motorcycle Team Finals main event.

Tommy Castanedo — Claimed runner-up honors in the Electronics Track Champions Race.
